Medallion Small Touch Screen Computer (Small TSC)

The Medallion Small Touch Screen Computer (Small TSC) is a line of modular touch-screen computers based on the Touch-Screen Computer Module, the successor to the Medallion Classic CPU Module. With 500 MIPS of ARM computer power, DDR memory, LCD, touch panel, Ethernet, USB and RS-232 serial ports, buzzer, power supplies, and even a microSD card connector, a Small TSC is an ideal computer for many small, touch-screen applications.

Features

A 3‑board stack includes:

LCD and Display Board with:
- 18-bit direct-wire to TFT LCDs
- 4-wire resistive touch-screen connection
- backlight power supply and brightness control circuit
Touch Screen Computer Module (TSCM) with:
- 500-MIPS Freescale i.MX ARM processor running Techsol's Medallion Linux OS
- 128 MB or 256 MB of DDR2 memory
- 128 MB SSD (NAND flash memory) for boot loader and Linux OS
- Ethernet MAC and PHY
- Audio CODECs
Input/Output (I/O) board with:
- High-speed USB 2.0 Host ports
- High-speed USB 2.0 Device port (shared internally via MUX)
- RS-232 port on DE-9 connector
- SW-controlled beeper with frequency/tone control
- Fast Ethernet (10BaseT/100BaseTX) interface on RJ-45 connector with LED status indicators
- microSD card connector
- power supply interface for 9-33 VDC in, or up to 24 VAC power input

Ships with the proven Medallion Linux 2.6.3x plus drivers pre-installed.

Every unit is tested running Linux before it ships! Single units of the TSCM are available with Display and/or I/O boards as development kits with full SW development tools and support. Call for pricing.
